Chapter 7

It is Sunday morning and I am taking a day off from the lessons today. Nozomu, my samurai invited me to go the the sword smith's house today. He said that he needs to let the smith check his sword. While Nozomu and the smith are talking, I went outside and sat on the grass somehow nearby the house. It was surrounded by a grassland. Since it's already spring, the grasses are in their top form. Splashing its green color like a painting as it was being fed by the nutrients from the mighty sun, very pleasing to the eyes. I looked afar and noticed that the market that we went last time was a little far from this area. This place is very peaceful. If I am going to turn my head towards the south, I will be able to see the vast grassland, seeming to end at the foot of the mountains that is not very visible in sight due to its distance.

I smiled. This place is really calming.

The moment when Nozomu noticed that I am not within his sight, he immediately went outside.
"Rin!"He exclaimed as soon as he saw me.
"Please add 'sama' in my name." I said looking at him.
"Don't go around without me knowing next time. Rin." He replied.

I just told him to add honorifics right? Is this guy that idiot?

Soon, the  sword smith approached and offered a cup of tea and a blanket. Meanwhile, Nozomu went farther from us to practice his swordsmanship. I accepted the cup and thanked the man. "I apologize but I forgot your name." I said.
"Hamada. I am Hamada Your Majesty." He replied giving me a sheer smile.

"About the last time that we talked about." Hamada-san started as I looked at him. "How is it now?"
"You mean, the thing about me being not myself?"
"It's quite confusing to be honest, Your Majesty." Hamada sat beside me.

"You're right. There are times that I am unconsciously thinking about something." I started to talk. "Something unexplainable. Something like, a memory that isn't mine."

"Rin!" Nozomu suddenly called from afar. "Ryusei had arrived. We'll go practice around here."
"Call me Rin-sama you idiot!"
"Please don't go anywhere okay?" He added.

Hamada-san sat beside me, not that close to me as a sign of respect and looked towards Nozomu and Ryusei.
"Sometimes, it feels it was not me." I continued. "But I know that these memories are mine."
"That sounds like reincarnation for me Princess." Hamada-san said as soon as the idea popped inside his brain.

"Reincarnation? Like another soul is actually within me?" I asked.
"I read from the books of our ancestors about souls that were transferred to another life form." He replied in such enthusiasm. "Sometimes memories can remain to those souls even within their new body."

My looked was moved from him towards the two who are sparring with swords. The idea that he shared are slowly sinking within me and trying to think of the possibility that it is true. Well it might be, especially that these memories that I am seeing isn't me but too good to be true.

"That reminds me of Ryusei." Hamada said with a bitter smile in his face.
"What's with him?" I replied.
"Ryusei always thinks that his life is not his own" he said with such a bitter smile on his face. "And he doesn't even notice it himself."
