Synopsis: Typical student Taiju Oki tells his science-loving friend Senku Ishigami that he will confess his feelings to their classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa. He prepares to make his confession to Yuzuriha under a camphor tree on the school grounds, but his attempt is interrupted when a bright light appears in the sky. Taiju pushes Yuzuriha to the tree to protect her as the light petrifies them along with the entire human population. Thoughts:
Ranking number one spot in the best animes along with Vinland Saga, I was intrigued how this story will go especially when I first watched the trailer. I am so fond of animes with educational approach like Cells At Work! (Hataraku Saibou!)
Upon watching the series, I appreciate how they gave a touch of comedy in the anime (I am not sure about the manga though). Since this anime is all about chemistry stuff, some viewers might get bored with a lot of dialogues in every scene. In my personal view, I was very entertained with the series. I am a woman who loves science and discoveries so this is an ultimate anime for me. Along with the comedy acts, there are some crossovers that you will notice in the anime. Like some old animes (maybe it's the anime with the same production) and some memes that were popular.
The plot is very good. I also like how the plot twists are being conveyed. Not your typical anime that you will be knowing what will happen in the next scene.
Animation: 9/10
The animation is good. The only thing that actually distracts me is the art. I actually don't like "Moe" art style but I don't hate it. It's just that with this anime, the moe art style is not compatible with this kind of plot.
Soundtrack: 10/10
You will notice that the OST is trying t hype the viewers with the type of music that they are playing.
Overall: 10/10
