Sotsugyou Bakamentary Review

Title: Sotsugyou Bakamentary
Release Date: January 22, 2018
Synopsis: Four graduating students agreed to be in a documentary and they were watched on how these four virgins gonna graduate virginity before their graduation.

(These guys are having troubles in buying a condom)

Thoughts: This drama is actually entertaining. It was so funny since these guys are so desperate to get a girlfriend and graduate from virginity. Soon I got bored after watching half of the episodes. The reason is, this drama focused in just one target, which is the graduation of the four boys. But then I remembered, this drama was a documentary style, so the main story is just the main story. No side stories in this type of drama.

The question left on me asking, why does these boys are into graduating virginity? Like do boys think of it like a "pride" or something? I am a bit annoyed on that idea so enlighten me. But anyway, this drama has it's own type of entertainment, you will see the difference of their characters and each one of them has idiotic side which is very funny. It is just like you typical high school life.

And yes, the reason why I watching this, it is because Hamada Takahiro and Fujii Ryusei of Johnny's WEST were starred in this drama. For Ryusei, he is known as the airhead in the group so I was looking forward on how he will portray the role of Gaku. Hamada doesn't have a lot of drama appearances so this drama is a good thing for us fans.

Rating: 7/10

Though it is very entertaining, I can't say that it is a good drama to recommend. This drama just focused on how desperate this guys to lose virginity. Maybe I am saying this as my point of view as a woman. We have different kinds of opinions.

Momikeshite Fuyu: Wagaya no Mondai Nakatta Koto ni Review

Title: Momikeshite Fuyu: Wagaya no Mondai Nakatta Koto ni
English Title: The Kitazawas: We mind our own business
Release Date: January 13, 2018
Synopsis: The Kitazawa family is one of the well-known family in Japan and Shusaku is a police officer that is the youngest son of Taizo Kitazawa. In order to make their family's image clean, they always use Shusaku to solve every problem coming into their family to the point that he is doing things against the law.

Thoughts: First, I never thought that Yamada Ryosuke, who played the character of Shusaku, will do this kind of character in a drama. He is one of the coolest idols in Japan and his manly features are perfect for cool roles. But in this drama, Shusaku makes a lot of funny reactions. Good thing, he managed to portray Shusaku perfectly. This drama doesn't have a deep type of drama but it is just showing what kind of Family do Kitazawa is. Every episode will make you laugh because of Yamada and it is a good thing for me. I am not a fan of heavy drama after all.

One of the good thing in this drama, even though Shusaku is a police officer and did crimes in the entire series, he was still punished by law which is a good thing. What I mean, this drama thought us that abiding the law will always have punishment no matter what position or what family were you from. Another thing, this drama thought me another kind of love in the family. Not all love are the same, there are some kind of love in which you won't be told but you it was shown discreetly.

One of the reason why I watched this drama it is because my bias, Kotaki Nozomu (Johnny's WEST) is in this drama as a supporting role. He is a SWAT leader in Shusaku's police department. It is really good seeing them both in the drama because aside from I've been a fan of them for a decade, Kotaki actually entered the idol world because of Yamada. He has been his admired senpai ever since he passed the audition. In magazines, Kotaki mentioned that this drama is his greatest achievement since he worked with his admired senpai.

Rating: 10/10
If you are into slice of life genre with a bunch of funny scenes, this is so recommended for you. Oce you started watching this drama, you won't stop. Every funny scene will leave an impression to you that this guy is funny though he is actually the coolest man I ever knew.

Blazing Transfer Students Review

Title: Honnou no Tenkousei REBORN/ Blazing Transfer Students
Release date: November 10, 2017
Synopsis: The original “Blazing Transfer Student” manga centered around Noboru Takizawa who transfers to a new high school where all dispute are settled through fights. Right out of the gate he ends up picking a fight with Ibuki Saburo, the school's bully in an attempt to win the right to date school idol Yukari Takamura. The original manga ran in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine from 1983 to 1985.
The live-action series is a sequel set years later with Noboru now the principal at his own high school where seven students all named Kakeru transfer in. The seven Kakeru attempt to infiltrate and improve the school in order to solve a problem with national implication.
Here it is. We Jasmines were waiting for this to be released in Netflix for almost a year now. For those who doesn't know I am a big fan of Johnny's WEST who will lead this series and our fandom was called "Jasmines". Anyway! As I said, the Johnny's group Johnny's WEST will lead this series which is veryyyyy VERY rare for Johnny's Entertainment.

(The members of Johnny's WEST who are the seven Kakerus in the series)

Thoughts: I am not really sure about this old manga "Honnou no Tenkousei". I only read some information from internet before this series released in Netflix. But after I watched the whole season in just 4 hours, I understood how does it work and these seven dorks are just the new generation of the Blazing Transfer Students. The whole series is very funny as in literally funny that it will make your stomach in pain of laughing. I am not really bias or something, but these guys are all from Kansai so they are really have the sense of humor. To those who doesn't know, even they are not in a drama and just guesting in some shows, they will make you laugh. That's how good they are. They are not comedians (maybe they are?) They are idols under the Johnny's agency who is producing a lot of cool boys in the show business. Shortly speaking, they are acting very naturally.

Junta which is Nakama Kakeru have the role of Tsukkomi (generally the smarter and more reasonable of the unit, and will criticize, verbally and physically abuse, and generally rail at the boke for their mistakes and exaggerations.) in the drama usually do that in real life with the 6 bokes (arries the meaning of "senility" or "air headed-ness," and is reflected in this performer's tendency for misinterpretation and forgetfulness that receives most of the verbal and physical abuse from the "smart" tsukkomi because of the boke's misunderstandings and slip-ups.)

(Kotaki Kakeru attacks Fujii Kakeru with his lethal move)

The principal of the school joined the seven students who were all named "Kakeru" and one of them is possibly his son and going to inherit the management of the school. In order for the principal will know who is his son, he needs to send them to various (deadly and weird) missions like the Pro wrestling tournament between the new students. They all have their own lethal moves (with weird names).

Cinematography: 10/10
HOHO. being bias? NO. It was a great shot. Video editing is superb. It's a live action with a sense of manga in it. It feels like you are watching something in 80s.

Soundtrack: 10/10
Some sounds (though it is not THAT related to soundtracks) makes you laugh. Also the opneing song is so perfect to the theme of the series. I AM SO BIAS LOL.

Overall: 10/10
A good recommendation to all of your friends. Though some of the scenes are kind of erotic, it will make you laugh too.
