One Piece The Movie : Stampede Movie Review

Title: One Piece The Movie : STAMPEDE
Genre: Adventure fiction, Fantasy
Synopsis: The movie takes place during the Pirates Expo, "made by pirates, for pirates", where pirates all over the world, including some of its most infamous ones, join in for a big treasure hunt to find a lost treasure, this time the treasure belonged to none other than Gold Roger (wikipedia).

Thoughts: 

This is actually my first time to watch One Piece film in the big screen! I wasn't able to watch One Piece Gold last time because I haven't watched the whole series. It was way back 2015 as far as I can remember. I became a fan of One Piece just a year ago after watching the whole series for 3 months. YES. 800+ EPISODES JUST FOR THREE MONTHS, I am working in a night shift that time as well. I am just telling this not to brag but to tell that I know the story of this anime very well (but haven't posted any review yet)

I don't read the manga series of this anime so I was very excited to watch this film. Having the idea of pirates having a festival, a war might break out!

As expected there are lot of fans who watched the film. Japanese movies (Anime or even live-action movies) are often showing here in my country for 2 days only except for Weathering with you that was showing in the cinemas for at least a week. I am not sure why but that the silent rule here. I watched at the second day and the last day of showing and there are so many people watching. So there are people whom you don't want to sit beside you. Those people who are SPOILERS and yes I am one of those people who had a seatmate who looooves to talk about the things that will happen to the movie.

I just want to tell everyone, I might be posting things that may cause to spoil anyone, but I am posting warnings before my article but when it comes to a movie, PLEASE REFRAIN TALKING ABOUT THE FILM. We all want to enjoy the film. 

Anyway, even though I had that kind of seatmate, I still enjoyed the film except for one thing, the fights between the best pirates are too quick. But then, as a anime watcher only of One Piece, I understood that this is just a film and not one of it's series, so the fights are hella fast. One thing that I enjoyed as well, I was able to hear Kamiya-san's voice! He is the voice actor of Trafalgar Law of the Heart Pirates and also with Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan.

This movie is so jam-packed. All your favorite pirates are in this film! The worst Generation, The Shichibukai, Even Crocodile is also here! Your favorite Marine people are present as well trying to fire a Buster Call! Totally tensing! And of course Sabo! There are so many characters that you don't want to miss their own screen time!

Animation: 9/10

Knowing that One Piece is under Toei Animation, I expected a lower quality of animation if you are going to compare it with bones or WIT Studio. The details of the fight scenes are not that good. Background details are not very fine. 

Maybe the main reason why One Piece is popular is because of the story.

Overall: 

Of course this is so much recommended! You must watch this for surprises! AS IN THERE ARE LOOOOT OF SURPRISES And Law x Robin started to sail in this movie! But of course you need to be updated with the latest episode of the anime series to prevent spoilers.
